Here's the story behind this product. 

Crystal is the cofounder of Crystal's Gems in January 2024. Crystal has been working in the veterinary industry since 2013. She started from a volunteer, to a receptionist, to a veterinary assistant, and lastly, to a registered veterinary technician. During COVID, the industry went into a staff shortage crisis. Several staff worked overtime, experienced compassion fatigue, burnout, lack of management support, and poor physical and mental health. Crystal then decided to make crystal candy as a hobby to relieve stress. All the rainbow colours and fruity flavours really helped Crystal get through her bad days. As friends and family started supporting Crystal's Gems, she decided to expand into a small local business. Crystal moved from full time veterinary nursing to full time candy making. Even then, she did not give up on her veterinary career and still works part time. Even though Crystal's main focus is her crystal candy business, she still wants to help pets in any way possible. 

So this year, we want to do something special for all those pets waiting to be adopted. For every $10 BCSPCA product purchased, $1 will be donated to a local BCSPCA for Christmas. We hope that the pets waiting to be adopted can enjoy a Christmas gift as well.
